Spring Break in Utah

This past week we took a trip to Park City, Utah! The last time I had gone skiing, I think I was around 4 years old. My dad said I would fall and just sit there and eat the snow. [haha, not much has changed] Just kidding! I didn't do awful, but I will say that skiing may not totally be my thing. Overall, we did have a blast! Though I think I'm more of a spiked hot chocolate by the fireplace in the lodge kind of gal. We went with some good friends of ours, Cody and  Lauren. We actually stayed out in Midway, about a 30 minute drive from Park City. I'm really glad we did. The drive every day was just breathtaking. By the way, if you're ever in Midway, stop by Heber Valley Milk and Cheese. They make their own cheeses and they're so good! We tried the Smoked JalapeƱo Bacon Cheddar and the Cinnamon Honey Cheddar. Grab some wine and you've got your night made for you.!The first day we were in Utah, it was clear and sunny. The mountains were beautiful. The next few days it snowed a pretty good amount. In fact, we were in a "winter storm warning". Eek. I would love to go back to Utah sometime... but you can find me in the lodge! ;)

Fill'er Up Coffee Shop in Midway, UT. SUCH a cute place. Great coffee, root beer floats and breakfast tacos!

Sorry for the weird photo quality on some of these. I just used my iPhone because it was the easiest to carry with all of my layers. This is at Seafood Buffet at Deer Valley Resort. Hunter has a friend who is a chef here and OMG it was yummy. Hunter is holding up a special dish he made for us - crawfish macaroni and cheese [amazing].

When you're from Houston and you have to scrape snow and ice off of your car for the first time... LOL

Excuse my outfit... I was freezing and threw on as many things in my suitcase as I could! This is at one of the lodges by our condo.

Leggings: Zella | Snow Boots: Columbia

Salt Lake City
Lunch at Squatters. We ate here twice for lunch. The food is yummy and they brew their own beers. [That's a win in my book]

My ski attempt. My method: pizza wedge the whole way down.

Again, sorry for the weird pic quality. This is us with our ski instructor! He was so patient with me, bless his heart. The guys took ski lessons with us to be nice.

Ski Jacket: North Face
So snowmobiling... If I thought skiing wasn't my thing, I had no business snowmobiling. We made it to the top of the mountain and got caught in a whiteout blizzard. [not exaggerating] It was scary and tears were shed LOL But, Hunter had a blast so I'm glad we got to go!

Hope everyone had a fun spring break! xo
